Connect 2 GELID fans to the CPU socket of your motherboard. Use the GELID PWM Y-cable to connect a series of up to 5 PWM fans, providing the desired additional cooling.

The PWM signal from the motherboard is used to control the connected PWM fans for optimal performance in terms of noise levels and cooling.

The power drawn by your CPU cooler is adjusted based on temperature. An idle CPU generates less heat, requires less active cooling, and therefore slower fan speeds are sufficient. Additionally, this also reduces the overall ambient noise of your PC, and it is managed automatically with minimal risk to your PC components.

While PWM fan controls are very common in today's PC industry and available on most motherboards, there are often only one or two such PWM connectors reserved for CPU and/or chipset fans. One way to extend this excellent noise reduction idea to the numerous case fans in a typical PC is to use a GELID PWM Y-cable.

The long cable provides enough length to reach any location in your case.
