Product details
Among the causes of neck pain as well as discomfort in the shoulders, arms, and hands, the computer mouse is an important factor. These issues are also known as RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) complaints. With a conventional mouse, you are forced to lift your fingers to avoid continuous clicking. This unnecessarily strains the so-called extensors (muscles), which in turn causes your neck muscles to tense up automatically. As a side effect, you tend to grip too tightly and tensely, leading to excessive muscle tension. Consequently, blood circulation is reduced, and the arms and hands receive insufficient nutrients. Waste products are not adequately eliminated, causing muscle acidosis. Pinched nerves can lead to feelings of restlessness or numbness. All of these are signs of RSI.
The concept of the ergonomic Hippus focuses on avoiding excessive gripping and clicking. Unlike a traditional mouse, you do not have to constantly lift your fingers, thus preventing accidental clicks.
Research from Erasmus University in the Netherlands has confirmed the positive effects of such a mouse. The innovative Hippus mouse was developed in collaboration with the Dutch Erasmus MC University.
Since your hand can remain relaxed on the mouse, you can prevent pain and problems in the hand and arm. The shoulder area and neck stay relaxed, thereby reducing the risk of RSI complaints.
This ergonomic mouse is equipped with the so-called BlueRay Track System, allowing it to function on almost any surface.
