With excellent first read rates even on extremely difficult to read, damaged and poorly printed barcodes, the Xenon 1950g can easily withstand minor and major mishaps in hectic everyday life. It has an extremely robust design and has been tested to withstand 2000 minor drops from 0.5 m and 50 drops from 1.8 m onto concrete without damage. It is also sealed to IP41 against the ingress of dust and water. This scanner also captures two-dimensional codes. Thanks to the greater information density, these code types can be used in a more versatile manner. They can also be read omnidirectionally and are more tolerant of faulty printing and damage. 2D scanners can of course also read conventional 1D barcodes. This makes them a promising investment for the future, regardless of whether you are already using 2D codes or would like to keep the option open.
