By using software utilities, the Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) can alert you to certain impending drive failures, allowing for replacement. Hot-swap and simple-swap versions of the HDD options are available as SAS and SATA. A one-year warranty is included.
