Icy Dock is proud to introduce the new 2.5" SATA/SAS hot-swappable drive bay MB991IK-B designed for use in a 3.5" drive bay. This device is made from SECC metal to meet the highest standards. It features ventilation openings on the front, back, top, and bottom to keep both SATA and SAS drives cool. An integrated LED on the front provides users with real-time drive status.

The MB991IK-B utilizes our new EZ-Slide Minicarrier, making maintenance and drive replacement effortless. The trays, like the frame itself, are made from SECC metal, ensuring a long lifespan. At the same time, the weight is kept manageable, making it easy to transport from system to system. The device supports hot swapping, while the trays can accommodate drives of 9.5mm, 12.5mm, and even 15mm in height, providing you with a versatile 2.5" drive bay.

Both SAS and SATA drives are compatible, allowing you to use either energy-efficient drives with 5400 RPM or powerhouses with 15000 RPM. This makes the MB991IK-B an ideal choice for both end users and businesses, especially in server environments. Support for the SATA 6Gb/s standard for maximum bandwidth is another advantage. Additionally, a security lock is integrated to prevent unauthorized removal of the drive.
