Ilford Ortho Plus

Ilford Ortho Plus is an orthochromatic black and white film. Developed as a high-resolution copy film for negatives, Ortho Plus offers excellent quality thanks to its fine grain and sharpness.

The blue and green sensitivity of this emulsion is ideal for landscape photography and allows for handling the film under dark red safety light conditions, making processing and testing easier.

Due to the lack of red sensitivity, red and orange tones are rendered darker and more contrasted in the image compared to conventional panchromatic films (all other Ilford and Kentmere films are panchromatic).

Ilford Ortho Plus is DX-coded for ISO 80 for shooting in daylight/natural light. Whether shot at ISO 80 or 40, the film can be processed like a standard image.

Please do not use with yellow safety light, as this can lead to fogging.
