The IMPERIAL HD 6i Twin is a state-of-the-art HDTV satellite and multimedia receiver. In addition to standard features such as EPI program information, automatic software updates, and parental controls, the receiver can be upgraded via USB to function as a digital video recorder (USB PVR) and media player for various formats. With its Twin Tuner, it is possible to record one program while simultaneously watching another—independently of transponder and satellite. Thanks to the RJ45 interface, the receiver can be integrated into a home network via LAN (or via WLAN with an optional USB dongle) and access various internet services. MultiStreaming allows for bidirectional transmission of media data to and from devices connected to the home network, such as smartphones or tablet PCs. The 8-digit VFD display shows the channel name and background information.
