Product details

The SATA connection has become the standard interface for PC drives. Internal HDDs and SSDs, as well as optical drives, are almost exclusively connected to the motherboard via this interface. The advantages over the predecessor IDE/ATA include not only a higher transfer volume but also a smaller connector and narrower cable. This makes cable management within the case easier and reduces airflow obstruction.

This is a SATA adapter that allows the connection of two SATA cables, thus enabling an extension. This is particularly useful in very large and/or convoluted cases where the standard cables are too short. It also allows for a hidden cable layout, which typically requires a longer length.
