The Intel Core processors of the ninth generation are named Coffee Lake-S Refresh. This allows heat to be dissipated more efficiently from the CPU, enabling higher clock speeds over a longer period. The Intel Core i3-9100 is the new entry-level model of the Core 9000 series and features four cores. The processor impresses with increased clock speeds and optimized boost functions compared to its predecessors. The TDP of the quad-core is only 65 watts. The processor is compatible with Socket 1151 motherboards of the 300 series.
