Intel VROC is enabled by the CPU feature Intel Volume Management Device (Intel VMD), a hardware architecture on Intel Xeon scalable processors. Intel VMD expands the existing 48 PCIe lanes for reliable NVMe connections. Intel VROC leverages Intel VMD for a simpler RAID solution that requires no additional hardware. It delivers compelling RAID performance that unleashes the full potential of NVMe drives.
