The Ixxat USB-to-CAN FD automotive with two CAN FD channels (CAN/CAN FD), LIN, and galvanic isolation is an extremely versatile, straightforward, and cost-effective way to connect a computer to CAN FD/LIN bus networks. It is a very reliable workhorse for CAN FD applications, such as in automotive, mobility, testing, development, maintenance, or control applications. By utilizing powerful, durable hardware and connecting via native USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480 MBit/s) and 2x RJ45 sockets for CAN / CAN FD, the interfaces achieve a very high data throughput with minimal latency and power consumption. Two RJ45 to Sub-D9 adapter CAN cables are included. The galvanic isolation reliably enhances the protection of the device against damage to the electronics from voltage spikes. A class-leading timestamp resolution of just 1 microsecond allows for lossless sending and receiving of standard and extended CAN messages on the CAN bus and enables filtering and buffering of CAN messages for very accurate CAN monitoring. The proven and compact housing of the USB-to-CAN FD automotive is designed for daily use and longevity. LIN communication is optionally supported in LIN master or slave mode. As a LIN slave, the interface autonomously responds to received master requests. The response data is updated via a buffer through the PC API. In master mode, the master calls are processed by the PC application. Received LIN messages are forwarded to the application with timestamps, master requests, responses, and status information. A comprehensive and stable driver and software package is available for the USB-to-CAN FD automotive.
