The Quantrol LC series from Jumo is a compact, user-friendly, and self-optimizing PID controller. The control unit is used for two- and three-point control applications as well as for controlling regulating valves and SCR power control units via a continuous control output. The universal analog input is designed for RTD temperature sensors, thermocouples, and current/voltage signals and can be programmed by the user. Three formats are available: 48 x 48 mm, 48 x 96 mm, and 96 x 96 mm. Two LED displays (red/green) with seven segments each allow for the display of values in °C or °F. An LED status indicator for the output is included. Control is achieved with two or three states and continuous control, depending on the version. Features such as sensor monitoring, self-optimization (autotuning) for precise PID control, manual/automatic mode, configurable limit monitoring (alarms), setpoint for switching, step and key lock, as well as an RS485 interface (Modbus RTU) are also integrated. Additionally, the controller offers ramp and timer functions as well as a firing curve for ceramic kilns. The controller can be mounted via plug-in installation, and a setup interface (USB Mini-B) is available. A USB cable is also available.
