This housing converter enables connection of Mac 12+16-pin AHCI-type SSDs to USB 3.0 ports for external storage use or data retrieval. Specifically designed for Mac Air and Retina models with 12+16 pin SSDs released around mid-2013, this adapter supports AHCI-type SSDs exclusively and is not compatible with NVMe SSDs. The converter features a working indicator light and a closed aluminum housing that protects the internal electronics. Power is supplied through the USB cable with a maximum current of 3.1A. Compatible with USB 3.0 at 5 Gbps (PCIe Gen 2 5 GB/s) speeds, it works with all operating systems without requiring additional drivers.
