Spacebase Startopia impresses with its original blend of economic simulation and building strategy, combined with classic RTS skirmishes and a healthy dose of humor. In addition to the challenging single-player campaign and the varied combat mode, there is a competitive and cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players. As if maintaining the three space station decks, entertaining the eight extraterrestrial alien races, and fending off hostile intruders weren't challenging enough, the dynamic narrator AI "VAL" doesn't hold back and provides sharp commentary on the events.
