The Kathrein EXR 1516 multiswitch is designed for distributing 4 satellite IF levels and terrestrial signals to 16 outputs. Only one downlead is required per receiver; for twin receivers, two downleads are needed, and each receiver has independent selection options (horizontal/vertical, low/high). The multiswitches incorporate amplifiers for low connection losses in both satellite and terrestrial areas, as well as a pre-emphasis feature to compensate for cable attenuation. The terrestrial signals can also be received even when the satellite receiver is turned off. Additionally, the EXR 1516 multiswitch has a low power consumption due to its highly efficient, short-circuit-proof switch-mode power supply.
