The receiver requires only one downlead, while a twin receiver needs two downleads. Each receiver has an independent selection option (horizontal/vertical, low/high). The multiswitch includes an amplifier for low connection losses in the satellite range, as well as a pre-emphasis feature to compensate for cable attenuation. The terrestrial range can also be received when the satellite receiver is turned off. Additionally, the EXR 2508 multiswitch has a high level of isolation between the outputs.
