Product details

Kingston IronKey Locker+ 50 USB drives offer consumer-level security with AES hardware encryption in XTS mode, including protections against BadUSB with digitally signed firmware and brute-force password attacks. The LP50 is also TAA compliant.

The LP50 now supports the multi-password option (Admin and User) with complex or passphrase modes. In complex mode, passwords of 6 to 16 characters using 3 out of 4 character sets are allowed. The new passphrase mode allows for a numeric PIN, a phrase, a word list, or even text with a length of 10 to 64 characters. The administrator can enable a user password or reset the user password to restore data access.

To facilitate password entry, the "eye" icon can be activated to display the entered password, reducing typos and thus minimizing failed login attempts. The brute-force attack protection locks user passwords after 10 consecutive invalid password entries, and after 10 incorrect attempts, the USB drive is crypto wiped. Additionally, an integrated virtual keyboard protects passwords from keyloggers or screen loggers.

Locker+ 50 features a small metal casing and an integrated key loop for added convenience, allowing you to take your data anywhere. Additionally, the LP50 offers optional backup via USB to Cloud (by ClevX), enabling access to data on the drive from your private cloud storage through Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon Cloud Drive, Dropbox, or Box.

The LP50 is easy to set up and use without any additional application installation. All necessary software and security are already on the drive. It works with both Windows and macOS, allowing users to access files from multiple systems.

... After successful activation, the stick achieves a maximum of 165 MByte/s for reading, 145 MByte/s for writing, and the write rate drops to a meagre 3 MByte/s with many small files - but this is similar with other sticks. If you want to have your data not only locally but also in the cloud, you can install the enclosed synchronisation software; this then takes up corresponding space in Dropbox & Co...
