Product details
The 4K Over IP extender system allows for the extension of a 4K video source, such as a PC or set-top box, over a Gigabit IP network. The extender system is controlled remotely via the extended USB interface. This receiver can be connected to a transmitter (not included) to establish a standard point-to-point system with maximum distances of up to 100 m. The transmitter can also connect to multiple receivers, enabling a single device to be controlled by various consoles on the receiver side. Additionally, a video wall can be set up on the same private network using a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet switch that supports 8kB jumbo frames.
In addition to the audio signal embedded in HDMI, there are two additional audio channels (one audio output from the source and one for connecting a microphone on the opposite side) and an optical SPDIF port on the receiver to connect a digital audio device or amplifier.
The HDMI Over IP extender system features a convenient bidirectional IR extender system (20-60 kHz), which allows for the extension of remote control signals. This device is a typical solution for security management systems (control rooms or monitoring stations), server remote management (via the KVM control system), or the extension of AV signals over IP for monitoring industrial facilities. Another important application is large video wall installations (up to 16x16 screens) for digital signage and retail environments.
