This 8-pin power extension cable is essential for modern EPS, ATX, and BTX motherboards to supply power to the processor. Unlike the older 4-pin ATX12V motherboard and power supply connections, this connection features double the width with 2x 4-pin. The connector can be split into two 4-pin connectors on the motherboard side, one of which is compatible with older motherboards. A 4-pin connector can be inserted into the other 8-pin side individually; however, the other 4 pins will not receive any current. Please refer to the instructions provided by the motherboard manufacturer.
