The Lomo Kompakt Automat (better known as the LOMO LC-A) is a Russian 35mm compact camera that sparked a worldwide photographic movement. Its special Minitar 1 lens delivers vibrant colors, strong contrast, dreamy vignetting, and unique images that made this snapshot camera famous across the globe.
In 2005, the future of the LOMO LC-A was at stake when production at the LOMO PLC factory in St. Petersburg came to a halt. Lomography did not want to give up the beloved camera and ensured its continuation in the form of the new and improved LOMO LC-A+.
