Fully equipped, attractively priced active-passive construction. Can be loud and always sounds pleasantly clean, powerful and crisp with good audibility. Not too deep in the bass and requires a little care when setting up. Good workmanship.
For those who have always wondered if there are multifunctional and fully active speakers in larger dimensions, this question can now be answered with a clear yes. The Monitor Reference 5A stands at a height of 908 mm, maintaining the same front width as the 3A, making it a substantial floor-standing speaker. With this size, there are no longer any doubts about having a proper HiFi system in front of you. The tweeter measures 25 mm, identical to its siblings, and is driven by a powerful ferrite magnet. Below, there are two 170 mm drivers; one serves as a mid-bass driver for the crucial vocal range, while the other is dedicated solely to deep bass reproduction. The choice of materials has a significant impact—the Monitor Reference series floor-standing speaker plays down to 28 Hz, reaching deep into the frequency range. Despite this, the 5A has a visually slim profile, allowing it to fit seamlessly into any living room. Each channel delivers 60 watts of continuous power and 120 watts of peak power. Additionally, the speaker is equipped with an HDMI input, a phono preamplifier, Bluetooth in the fast aptX Low Latency variant, as well as both analog and digital connections.

A buying tip that couldn't be more beautiful. The concept is straightforward; one could almost accuse it of being too simple. But it doesn't matter, because it works. It can be assembled in just a few minutes, without any problems. The price undercuts all competitors. If I were a student, but with ambition, I would buy a super pack here.
