The Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It features a central bass tone in the middle, surrounded by eight additional tones. Each of these eight tone fields consists of two tongues that produce the sound in two octaves. This creates a wonderful, meditative sound that resembles that of a handpan. On the underside of the drum, there is a sound hole that can be sealed with a silicone plug to make the sound even more compact. Additionally, there are three silicone feet on the bottom to prevent the drum from slipping. You can play the Octave Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or, if you prefer, with your fingers. Simply place the drum on a flat surface or on your lap to start playing.

Included are two wooden mallets with rubber heads and a beautiful zippered carrying bag with a handle.
