Product details
The Mentter HD CPL-55 is a professional circular polarizing filter designed for photography applications. This filter features a diamond-pattern aluminum frame that provides a secure grip and a professional appearance. The ultra-matte black coating on the frame minimizes reflections, while the optical glass incorporates original Japanese Polaroid film technology. MC multi-coating technology effectively reduces unwanted reflections and lens flare. The filter offers extremely comfortable rotation functionality for precise polarization adjustment.
Polarizing filters work by selectively blocking certain light waves, allowing photographers to eliminate reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass. This enables clearer photography through windows, reduces glare from water surfaces for improved underwater visibility, and enhances contrast in sky and cloud photography. The polarization effects vary depending on the angle at which the filter is used relative to the light source.
With dimensions compatible with standard 55 mm lens threads, this filter maintains optical quality while providing reliable polarization performance for various photographic situations, including landscape, architectural, and product photography where reflection control is essential.
