In case you didn't realise it from the test: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is HARD. All the soft sausages (or soft bananas) among you will experience many moments of frustration with this game. 500 lives after the first playthrough? No such thing here, the Game Over screen is practically your best friend and acquaintance...

However, the 3D enhancement of the title is not quite as successful as the rest of the realisation and balance adjustment: although the lushly staged jungle gains a little depth thanks to the stereoscopic effect, there are no great surprise or diorama effects. In addition, the whimsical monkey theatre has to contend with overly noticeable ghosting effects in some places...
