The laser tachometer is a digital, battery-operated, non-contact or mechanical measuring device that can be used with an integrated laser or mechanical attachments. This optical laser tachometer is excellent for determining rotational speeds of machines, components, and systems such as engines and belt drives.

The measurement is performed non-contact using a reflective mark that is adhered to the rotating part and reflects the laser. Additionally, you have the option to measure speeds or lengths of moving objects using the mechanical attachments, for example, on conveyor belts.

The mechanical measurement of rotational speed is carried out with a contact tip as a measuring attachment, which is placed directly at the pivot point of the rotational movement. For speed or length measurement, a measuring wheel is placed on the adapter of the laser tachometer.
