The shroud enhances the cooling performance of your fan/radiator combination. Installed between the fan and the radiator, it allows the air to distribute in the pre-chamber, improving airflow across the entire cooling surface of the radiator. When a fan is mounted directly on the radiator, the fan motor creates a dead zone behind it, leaving part of the radiator surface unused and unable to contribute to cooling. Multiple shrouds can also be connected in series using longer screws, further improving the fan's efficiency. The chosen material achieves a greater seal between the radiator and the fan, directing the airflow more effectively towards its intended target.
Noise: The material, a hard rubber with a thickness of 7 mm, separates the fan from the case. The vibration-free suspension is particularly essential for high-speed fans, as the natural vibrations of the fans can cause parts of the case to move, which can become very loud over time. It also prevents rattling of the fans on the mounted component.
