RDIMM memory is recommended for achieving large memory capacities. The different memory technologies (ECC / RDIMM) must not be mixed. If a memory expansion is to be made with the existing RAM, it must be checked which memory technology (ECC / RDIMM) is present. Memory slots without a processor must not be populated. When using a multiprocessor system, the memory slots should always be populated identically for each CPU. A higher memory clock of the memory module automatically adjusts to the memory clock specified by the system. This can especially be the case with larger capacities.
