The industrial Gigabit media converter Planet IGUP-1205AT combines Ethernet media conversion (from 1000BASE-X to 10/100/1000BASE-T) with the 802.3bt Power over Ethernet Plus Plus (PoE++) injector function to deliver an output power of up to 95 watts and high data transfer speeds to powered devices (PDs) installed in remote areas where a sufficient and reliable power supply is required.

Its 1000BASE-X fiber optic uplink port enables high speed and stable data transmission over long distances to a remote core network. The IGUP-1205AT's specialized and practical power supply system supports two 12-56 V DC power inputs for power redundancy and operational flexibility.

The maximum distance between a PoE-PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) and a PD over an Ethernet cable is 100 meters. To extend the PoE application range, the IGUP-1205AT is equipped with a fiber optic interface for applications over greater distances. The fiber optic connector type of the IGUP-1205AT includes two SFP slots that support 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X multi/single-mode SFP modules and allow for transmission distances of up to 120 km (depending on the SFP module used).

Thanks to support for long fiber optic runs, the IGUP-1205AT maintains a transmission performance of up to 1000 Mbps. It operates with a powerful store-and-forward mechanism and can prevent packet loss with IEEE 802.3x flow control. Additionally, it can immediately inform administrators of issues via the connection medium and provide an efficient solution for monitoring network power consumption.
