The PocketBook Touch HD 3 is water-protected with HZO technology for uncompromising reading pleasure even in the bathtub, at the pool or on the beach: An ultra-thin coating reliably protects the device's electronics from possible damage caused by moisture or liquids. The IPx7 certified device can be immersed in fresh water to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes with no harmful effects.

The device is equipped with a multisensory E-Ink Charter touch screen with HD resolution (1072 х 1448, 300 DPI). This ensures a high-contrast and sharp typeface similar to that in a printed book.
SMARTlight technology allows you to adjust not only the brightness but also the colour temperature of the foreground lighting at any time of day to suit your personal needs. In the automatic mode activated as standard, the changes are made according to the time of day and thus in harmony with the human biorhythm. In addition, any number of individual SMARTlight configurations can be created, saved and managed according to personal preferences and daily routine. Both the brightness and the colour temperature of the foreground lighting can be changed by wiping gestures on the display without leaving the book.

The audio functions of the Touch HD 3 are available both via the supplied micro USB audio adapter and conveniently via Bluetooth. Thanks to Bluetooth, not only wireless headphones can be used together with the PocketBook E-Reader, but also a connection between E-Reader and car media system can be established. In addition to the MP3 format, the PocketBook Touch HD 3 also supports the M4B format, which enables convenient listening and marking within audio books. The professional audio book player, which is also on board the device, offers a range of functions specially designed for listening to audio books. The text-to-speech function converts text into sound and lets the e-reader read aloud any text file whose format is supported by the device.
With its compact dimensions (161.3 × 108 × 8 mm) and a weight of only 155 g, it is not only light in the hand, it even fits in almost any trouser or handbag.
