The visually lossless stream compression "Display Stream Compression v1.2" with a maximum compression ratio of 1:3 is ideal for all DisplayPort signals up to 8K UHD (7680 × 4320 pixels) including 10bit / 12bit HDR at 60Hz or 4K UHD (3840 × 2160 pixels) with 12bit HDR at up to 240Hz. Furthermore, the cables are backward compatible with all older DP specifications.
