Of course, AL and CU are not the best choice and are not normally used in this way, but both parts have been refined by the manufacturer before installation. Anodised AL was developed for corrosion protection and the water is very pure, so if you have assembled and filled everything with care, it will easily suffice. It does take some time for the water to conduct enough to cause deposits. But every manufacturer prescribes that you should change the water almost every year.
