With the Ryzen 3600 yes, because the cooler is included. Otherwise it depends on the product: - usually the thermal paste is already applied to the cooler supplied (so-called "boxed" CPUs; I think there are hardly any CPUs that are sold without a cooler) - with separate coolers (often high-end coolers) the paste is supplied with the cooler

Is the processor still worth it now?

The processor is still worth it from my point of view. If you don't have any demands, where you need a few more lanes, the processor is perfectly OK. But I don't know how it is with demanding games.

If you can get into the bios the problem is not the hardware. If the PC turns on and restarts automatically after one minute try to clear the cmos. Try removing all your ram sticks and plugging only one into a slot, try them all, and try with all your sticks if you have more than one. This will help you if the problem is with one of the motherboard slots or one of your ram strips. If it doesn't work try to check if you have a broken pin or thermal paste on the socket or cpu, it happens more often than you think. Try to check if any leds are blinking on your motherboard when you turn on the PC or if you hear any beeps. This will allow you to find the exact error by searching the internet or the manual. If it still doesn't work after all that, try another CPU on your motherboard. If it doesn't work, the motherboard has a problem, if it does work, the problem is with the CPU. That's about the most you can do on your side

Hello, I am relieved now. Researching compatibility was not easy. A 2 opinion is better. Me and my partner are setting up new PCs. She has the same problem. She has a x 570 gigabyte mainboard and also the same processor. I have already tried with the Ram's around. I'll check the cables again later. At first I thought I had to work with a Displayport. I don't have only one HDMI, but that's bullshit that you can't use the HDMI. Graphics card should still come. I too have become a victim of the delivery problems.

Hello, I have assembled almost the same PC and it works great and is sufficient for everything for a long time. If you have any money left over, I would recommend buying a power supply with more power to allow for upgrading later. Most new components, such as the new Nvidia cards, suck up more and more power. Otherwise everything is fine.

Yes, this Cpu is multiplier unlocked, which means it is relatively uncomplicated to overclock. Should be no problem on a b450 mobo, but depends on the model. Most are definitely capable of overclocking this CPU. How far you can overclock it depends on your cooler. With the stock cooler that comes with it, it ran easily with 4.2 GHz / 1.25V all core overclock. With my Dark Rock 3, I can overclock it to 4.5 GHz. Unfortunately, the silicon lottery always plays a role here: if you're lucky, you'll get more, if you're unlucky, you'll get less.

Is the heatsink mandatory?

is compulsory in the sense that the PC cannot work without it, but you don't have to buy another one, it includes the AMD one that normally works well, it is called Wraith Stealth

hey P4nther, Heat-conducting paste is already on it. The cooling performance of the stock cooler is OK, but not comparable with a really good fan. It is also relatively loud. I myself bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 to lower the temperature and the noise. I am much more satisfied with it. However, the CPU itself is excellent in my opinion, and you will also get along well with the stock cooler.
