Hello, unfortunately we don't know any information about if and when this motherboard will be released with DDR4 RAM slots. However, I assume that ASUS will not release this model with DDR4. All ASUS motherboards with the D4 suffix supported DDR4. For example, this one here: ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 (LGA 1700, Intel Z690 (DDR4), ATX)

With me it runs with an i7 13700k without problems, but had to update the firmware first.14 Gen should also be supported according to https://www.asus.com/microsite/motherboard/Intel-Raptor-Lake-Z790-H770-B760/ch-en/#:~:text=ASUS%20and%20ROG%20Z790%2C%20H770,DDR5%20memory%20than%20ever%20before.

Yes, the BIOS FlashBack button on the card is for that. You need a USB 2.0 flash drive, maximum 32gb (smaller goes too), formatted FAT 32 in the smallest size available. Download the update from the ASUS website and put the ZIP file on the USB stick, unzip the file in the same place. Rename the bios file with the .exe renamer provided. Put the renamed bios file in the root of the USB and remove everything else. And then you should be able to boot and use the BIOS FlashBack button (with the USB in the appropriate port) to flash your BIOS.

It's a bit tighter with the ramsticks, so I would absolutely install them before mounting the radiator. It's important to know that the second fan, which is mounted outside the radiator fins, will stick out a little higher. It was not possible to mount it completely flush with the fins in my setup because the RAM was a little too big. But basically I had no problems mounting it, and the CPU cooling runs excellently.

I also had this problem. I don't know if it's a bug or not. I was able to solve it when I set the lighting under Armoury Crate. There is an item there called Shutdown or something similar, just set it to off and the LEDs stay off when the PC is off. I hope this helped. LG

For me, the board runs with an older GTX 1060. I'm quite sure that it also runs smoothly with a GTX 690. The biggest problem at the moment is the availability and price of DDR5 RAM. But the board is super strong, I would buy it again anytime!

I don't understand why Digitec makes so many mistakes with the specifications. Anyway, this is a DDR5 motherboard. 184pin would be the oldest DDR-1 modules, while DDR4 and DDR5 really both have 288 pins, but the notch is somewhere else.
