The watch has an NFC module, but this is only activated for China (according to HUAWEI's website). It is possible that this will be activated with a later upgrade. For me personally, however, this was not a purchase decision. The design, the setting options, the price and the long battery life were the main factors for my purchase.

With the Huawei Watch GT 2, you can control the music on your smartphone. We tried it out right away with Spotify.
- Swipe the Huawei Watch GT 2 four times to the right until you see the music control app.
- Tap the three superimposed dots (settings) at the bottom.
- Make sure that Phone is selected.
- On the smartphone, you can now open Spotify, for example, and play a song.
If the corresponding authorisations have been granted, the song selection and the volume of the (Spotify) music that the smartphone is playing can now be controlled via the Smartwatch.

It is a closed Huawei system. As things stand, Whatsapp messages can be read, but not replied to from the watch.
