There is simply a battery built into the keyboard. I think that it says that it should last 2 years. I don’t think that it can be replaced when it runs out.
This part number 920-009476 seems to be only compatible with generations 7, 8 and 9.
According to the supplier, this model is for Gen 7 and Gen 8. Visually slight signs of use are fine, barely visible scratches on the product.
