The system can be paired with Bluetooth devices to play music from these devices via the system. However, it does not support Bluetooth transmission to headphones, i.e. it cannot be used as a transmitter for Bluetooth headphones. The Bluetooth function is only used to transmit music from a Bluetooth source device (e.g. smartphone) to the system, not to send music to Bluetooth headphones.

The main difference between the Marantz MCR 612 Melody X in black and silver lies exclusively in the colour and design, not in the technical specifications. - Colour and design: The only difference between the two models is the colour of the housing. One version is in black, the other in silver/gold. - Technical specifications: There are no differences in the technical specifications between the two colour variants. Both models have the same performance features, such as 2 x 60 W or 4 x 30 W output, HEOS Multiroom technology, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and support for various music streaming services. The price difference of 81 francs could be due to various factors such as stock levels, sales strategies or regional pricing policies, but there are no technical differences between the two colour variants.

Most probably the CD-ROM is broken. I had the same problem with my previous receiver where the CD-ROM had gone. The manufacturers no longer pay much attention to quality drives in their devices. It's a rather old one. Today with USB and Internet... There are hi-fi freaks who can mend old and new electronic devices.

The DAB/FM is a standard 75 Ohm coax connection, which to my knowledge is never equipped with a power supply. The manual does not indicate anything of the kind. Unfortunately, I do not know whether the USB connection is sufficient to supply power to the active antenna.

I would advise against buying it. Airplay does not work properly. It keeps dropping out. Have used it with 2 ipads and 2 iphones (all software up to date)...no one can explain where this is coming from not even Marantz themselves. Very disappointed with the product. Only have this problem with this receiver.

It also has a DAB antenna. Otherwise, you can tune into any radio station via HEOS and save it under your favourites. You can find more information on the Marantz page. https://www.marantz.de/de/mobile/products/pages/productdetails.aspx?catid=speakerdocks&subcatid=0&productid=melodyxmcr612
