Hello, UPC is stopping the service with its own boxes, so now you have to connect the coaxial cable directly to the TV. My TV is too old and does not have DVB-c, can this box do the trick to be able to view the channels that UPC-sunrise broadcasts on the DVB-c network? Thank you for your feedback. If I order and it doesn't work, is it possible to return the box? Best regards.

I bought the TechniSat HD-C 232 for my Italian uncle and could not find the channel TSI 2 and other Italian free TV channels. 1. the country Switzerland was not in the list. 2. 2. it was not possible to manually enter the network ID of the UPC. Not even after an update. I could enter everything else frequency, modulation and sybol rate. So it was unusable for its needs. Can the Opticum C 100 HD (DVB-C) do this? Enter the UPC network ID manually!

This item was delivered with only one cable. Is it necessary to have another one? To connect the TV to it? If so, which one? I have a JVC DVD-S and DVB-T TV and needed this item for cable reception.

According to our research, this product should be connected to your TV via the HDMI cable supplied with it. As well as via mains power on the DC port.

Unfortunately, the device can only be used for unencrypted channels/cable offerings. UPC and other providers in Switzerland encrypt their signals in such a way that they can only be decrypted with the receiver boxes from the provider itself, as well as from the receivers built into TV sets.

I live in the French speaking part of Switzerland near Geneva. I have 3 questions: 1. Will this receiver load all the French language cable channels available in Western Switzerland? I recently tried a German-spec receiver, and it wouldn’t load all the French speaking channels, notably TF-1 and FR2. 2. Do you have instructions available in English (preferably) or French? 3. I presume you need an external storage medium to record programs. I have a 1 TB WE external hard drive. Is that OK?

1. Yes it will 2. I believe english instructions are delivered with the appliance. I have not used them, the setup is pretty straightforward 3. This is an option that needs to be enabled to work. In my box, this option was disabled, meaning I cannot record programs.
