I would simply like to operate two hard drives separately in it. Is that possible and if so what do I have to set at the back JBOD

Hello, I have a few more questions before I definitely decide in favour of the Raidon. Can I insert an empty hard drive which will then be copied (I have 2 disks which are mirrored 1 to one & would like to make a copy every six months by removing one disk and inserting an empty disk and locking it up again in a fireproof place)? What file format (I'm on Windows) does Raidon work with? I also have a Synology where I work with BTRFS. Many thanks

Hello, According to the manual: RAID 1： With this mirroring function, your two hard drives/SSDs will keep identical data after your work. If one of the two hard drives/SSDs fails, the GR3660 will still work properly with only one of them. Hello everyone. I'm wavering between this part and the Fantec MB-X2U31R. I noticed the scathing review of the "FANTEC QB-35U31R" on Amazon. Quote: "It can happen that it has forgotten how the hard drives are mounted. Windows Disk Management recognises an unmounted hard drive and wants to assign and format it. Just don't do it. Log Fantec out of the USB network or go to Safely Remove Hardware in the task and then switch Fantec off and on again. Then it works again." Question: Is this criticism also a problem with Raidon? Or is the mirroring solved on the hardware side (via a switch on the back)? Which I would actually like.

no one confirm if this enclosure supports a host initiated spindown command? I don't use my disks very much, and still don't want to turn off the enclosure, but simply don't want the disks spinning all the time.

I need the GR3660-BA31 as a backup system and connect it to the PC very little. I connected it, copied something and waited over half an hour, it did not switch off. After that I looked in the power options and in "advanced settings" you can set the time in minutes to turn off the hard drives. I used to have it set to "0" (no shutdown) to let SSDs do their work in the background (reset unused sectors). So I set a small minute value and it works, the spindown command is executed.
