It depends on the model. If a SATA disc is installed now, then it works. This is the case for models up to mid-2012 WITHOUT Retina. It does not work for newer models because they use SSDs with a faster interface. On the website ifixit.com you can see all repair/replacement instructions for all MacBook Pro models available. They also list the replacement parts and what the SSD looks like.
SSDs do not come with any cables. You need a SATA cable and a power cable for SATA drives. In the notebook, this is a combination cable and is available. In the PC, the power cable is available on the power supply unit, you need a SATA cable. 30 cm should be enough.

The Samsung 870 EVO SSD (500 GB, 2.5") is technically compatible with a MacBook Pro 17" early 2011, as it has a SATA III interface, which is supported in older MacBooks. However, there may be problems during installation or booting due to firmware or software restrictions. It is recommended to use the SSD as a replacement for the existing hard drive and ensure that the operating system is installed correctly.

That is quite expensive for only 4 TB, I would not recommend it, because you can't use the speed advantage optimally in the NAS by using SSDs. When it comes to power consumption and noise, I would install three 2.5 inch hard disks in the DS923+, as you also have some hardware failure protection. These disks work with CMR recording and do the job. WD Blue Retail (2 TB, 2.5", CMR)
The type of memory and therefore the cost: EVO = TLC memory QVO = QLC memory https://www.heise.de/select/ct/2019/4/1549780209702190
should not be a problem

Usually the screw is already present in the slot in the motherboard, awaiting to be used. 2.5mm sounds right, but there are other parameters characterizing a screw and you should look on your motherboard manual for those. But first check if the screw isn't there, it probably is.

Unfortunately not.
I have never tried it with the migration tool - but 1:1 clones can be created very well with a suitable docking station with two slots. Both 2.5 and 3.5 inch disks fit in there. Here is such a product: Icy Box IB-120CL-U3
