it improves the quality a bit, but as long as the player and the DVD are not 4K capable, you won't get 4K on your TV. I hope I could help you a little bit.

I have never tried it with audio CDs. It doesn't work with DVDs (the position is *not* saved).
Unfortunately, this item cannot be used vertically and we do not sell this type of item.

No this is a normal HD Blu-ray player, the next cheapest true 4K Blu-Ray player would be this model: Panasonic DP-UB154 (Blu-ray Player)

No, it is not.
The BlueRay player is connected via an HDMI cable. This assumes that your TV at home also has an HDMI connection. Most Samsung TVs have this - unless they are 10 years old ;)
