I am using it with a KVM, it does work. I am not aware of it supporting different layouts.

I just tried it and it works. I have already removed all the keys from an older Steel keyboard and washed them, and everything works perfectly again. It's best to first try a key on the edge, e.g. ESC, that is easily accessible. Greetings
