Yes, MacOS is supported - BUT: The memory card is extremely shaky, as it is often not mounted after hibernation or restart. Despite the "JetDrive Toolbox" with Power Save switched on. It seems to be a known problem of MacOS vs. memory cards. The card runs - but has to be regularly inserted/removed manually in order to be recognised again.

The Transcend JetDrive Lite 330 is not compatible with the new MacBook Pro M5. It only fits certain older MacBook Pro models with Retina display, such as the 13-inch model from late 2012 to early 2015. There is no compatibility for current MacBook Pro models with M5 chip.

Could a firmware update with JetDrive Toolbox help?
Do other SD cards work on the device?
Does it work without encryption?
Do you have a third device to check the behaviour?
Does the hard drive service on the MacBook where the JetDrive is not working say anything about the JetDrive?

The card is designed specifically for MacBooks, so it's not certain that it's 100% compatible with the Surface Book 3. Perhaps another Surface Book user could give a better answer? Or search the internet?
I believe it also fits the early 2015 model..., but I'm not 100% sure, as I'm using it for a 2022 MacBook Pro M1 14

Very fast read-write, enough memory for files (Word, PDF, PPP....) and easy to install. Apple recognises it well as an external drive. When moving files, iMac leaves the original on the laptop (for deleting, move manually to the recycle bin).
NOTE: different sizes, depending on laptop model too big-long. Possibly ask by telephone
