    As a long-time user of the 7D, I have been waiting for the 7D Mark II for quite some time. It was worth the wait, because the camera is absolutely perfect for my needs as a nature and macro photographer. I have always wished for many smaller improvements on the old camera, such as the fading in of selected information in the viewfinder or the locking of the programme dial. According to my experience so far, the flash control with external flash units has been greatly improved, whereby the yield of balanced exposures is significantly higher than with the predecessor, but also than with the 6D. I also consider it an advantage that Canon has not packed more megapixels onto the sensor.

    The camera offers a lot at a high level and absolutely lives up to the price.

    After the first experiences, my only criticism relates to the setting options of the GPS. With both the 7D Mark II and the 6D, the GPS is active even after the camera is switched off. If you forget to deactivate the GPS overnight, for example, the permanent availability of the signals is of no use because the battery is empty! In my opinion, there is no option in the settings that switches off the GPS when the camera is switched off.

    I have read, compared and analysed reviews for a long time and to this day I have not regretted my purchase for a second. Sure, the 7D MkII is big and heavy - but it is without a doubt a TOP camera.

    What a great camera the 7D MK2 is!
    The workmanship is absolutely top and on a par with a Canon EOS 6D!
    Boah effect when unpacking! Size and weight even more than the 6D.

    The camera is really fast and the autofocus is     perfect!
    I have already taken some pictures and the quality is absolutely top...
    I think the noise behaviour is very good... but I haven't tested it enough yet, because I haven't used more than
    not used over 6400 ISO!

    I think the camera deserves an absolute buy recommendation!
