Conducts heat optimally, but no electricity
The pad is thick enough that it covers the chips on my M.2 2280 SSD well and dissipates the heat to the notebook case. Since this small upgrade, the bottom of the case gets a little warmer overall, but the SSD no longer reduces the maximum transfer rate for large jobs. The temperature for the CPU, memory and motherboard have not changed due to the warmer case.
