The RME 12Mic-D is a 12-channel microphone preamplifier with A/D conversion and integrated Dante, ADAT, and MADI connectivity. Its extensive features make the 12Mic-D an ideal companion for professional recordings.

The preamplifier has 12 microphone and line inputs with studio-quality digital conversion and remotely controllable gain levels, providing gain up to 75 dB for signals up to +18 dBu. Four of the inputs are combo jacks for TRS connectors, supporting the connection of high-impedance instrument signals (Hi-Z).

The MADI inputs and outputs support the chaining, merging, and conversion of MADI signals with extremely low latency. Through the three optical ADAT outputs, up to 24 channels can be transmitted in single-speed mode and up to 12 output channels at a 96 kHz sample rate. Compatibility with a variety of audio interfaces is also ensured.

Device states can be controlled from the front panel using knobs and buttons. RME AVB devices can also be remotely controlled via a web interface or network connection. This allows for the creation of gain groups, activation of phantom power, or routing of signals to the headphone output. Thanks to the integrated routing matrix, all digital signals and analog input signals can be routed directly to the headphone output.
