The Kave XTD 5.1 features its own control center equipped with illuminated LEDs and a dial. This allows for easy switching between audio modes, whether you're gaming, watching a movie, or listening to music. Thanks to the integrated sound card, converting to 5.1 surround sound is a breeze.
You can optionally connect a 5.1 speaker set, allowing you to switch between the headset and regular room sound at any time. The smartphone can be paired with the base station via Bluetooth for calls, automatically muting the game audio. The microphone is detachable.

Das Headset ist beim Gaming absolute Spitzenklasse denn der satte Bass sowie der hohe Tragekomfort machen das Ganze zum Vergnügen. Zudem ist der Surround Sound ebenfalls ausgereift und die Bedienung sehr komfortabel. Allerdings ist er für den Musikgenuss nur bedingt einsetzbar, da hier die Höhen zu kurz kommen.
Eins kann man definitiv zum Roccat XTD sagen: Es ist geprägt durch das Vorgängermodell. Roccat schraubt zwar an vielen Stellen, sodass es etliche Verbesserungen gibt und auch eine USB-Soundkarte mit etlichen Funktionen ist hinzugekommen, aber rein optisch hat sich wenig geändert...
Obwohl das Headset hochpreisig sowie gut verarbeitet ist, ist seine Stärke der Klang nicht denn dafür ist die Wiedergabe zu sehr verfälscht. Der Bass ist satt aber auch hier muss man mit verfärbten Klängen Vorlieb nehmen, sodass am Ende ein Gerät herauskommt, das ein schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat.
Wenn Sie echten Surround-Sound in einem Headset möchten, dann kommen Sie aktuell kaum um das Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 herum: Der Raumklang ist beeindruckend, zum einen Dank der großen Audiotreiber, zum anderen aufgrund des Klangprozessors! Und der Hersteller merzt tatsächlich die Fehler des Vorgängers aus und macht das Headset leichter und hebt die Verarbeitung auf eine höhere Stufe...
