The Samson Q9U is a professional broadcast microphone suitable for broadcasting, streams, podcasts, live recordings, and gaming. This dynamic microphone can be connected directly to the computer via a USB port. An XLR connection is also available to connect the Q9U to a mixing console or audio interface (supplied without XLR cable). The robust Q9U is mounted in a fork mount for ideal alignment. The cardioid polar pattern minimizes ambient noise and delivers a natural sound with a wide frequency response and a large dynamic range. The two-layer windscreen effectively dampens explosive and popping sounds. The integrated humbucker coil reduces the pick-up of electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, ensuring interference-free recording.

The Q9U features a 24 bit / 96 kHz analogue-to-digital converter that employs plug and play with Mac and PC without driver installation. There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the underside of the microphone for latency-free monitoring and a mute switch that can be used to mute the microphone at both the XLR and USB outputs. The low-cut and mid-presence booster controls can also be used to further customize the sound.
