Acti 9 iCT contactors from Schneider Electric enable power switching in single-phase 3-phase loads. The TeSys GC series contactors are safe, easy to use, and simple to install. These devices, with their compact dimensions, are suitable for a wide range of applications.

Features and Benefits:

  • Integrated auxiliary contacts for additional switching options
  • Screw connections: IP20 finger-safe terminals with North American and international terminal markings
  • Panel mounting with screws or DIN rail mounting possible
  • Pulse relay function
  • Day/Night function
  • Insulation Class 2: continuous safety for operators and third parties

What is the difference between AC-7a and AC-7b when selecting an iCT contactor? These utilization categories determine which loads the contactors can switch:

  • AC-7a is intended for lightly inductive loads for household appliances such as mixers and blenders
  • AC-7b is intended for motor loads for household appliances such as fans and central vacuum cleaners

Do spacers need to be installed between the iCT series contactors? When multiple contactors are mounted on a DIN rail, spacers should be used after every second contactor. The reason for this is that when several contactors are placed side by side, there can be a significant heat buildup, causing the devices to exceed their operating temperature. The coils themselves are designed to be 100% operational, allowing them to be on 24 hours a day, and the heat must be dissipated, hence a spacer is required.
