Modicon M580 - Processor Modules. The Modicon M580 BMEP58xxxx processor series forms the core of a complete control solution based on specific and compatible Modicon M580 modules and racks. The BMEP58 processor is a standalone, modular automation processor. The processor can be installed on BMEXPxxxx Ethernet + X-Bus racks and BMXXBPxxxx (PV02 or higher) X-Bus racks. It can be used to manage the Modicon X80 I/O platform in a single rack or multi-rack Ethernet PAC station. Versions with various technical features are available: memory capacities, processing speeds, number of I/Os, number of supported local racks, and integrated Ethernet connection capabilities. It physically occupies two module slots on a backplane.
