Preventa XPS universal safety relay. This multifunctional safety relay is designed for a wide range of safety applications, featuring selectable safety functions and a start option via a rotary switch on the front, along with diagnostic communication to the PLC. It is suitable for mechanical contacts in emergency stop, position or magnetic switches, safety mats, and electronic PNP/NPN sensors, light curtains, or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs. The selectable start functions include automatic, manual, or monitored start, as well as a start-up test. It has one safety circuit (redundant) and allows for the selection of one of ten safety functions. The outputs include a safe relay with 3S undelayed, 3S optionally delayed, and 1Ö, with status and diagnostics both at 1T. The safe switch-off delay ranges from 0.1 seconds to 15 minutes for SS1 or Stop1 functions. The clocked output transmits extensive diagnostic data to the PLC for standard input and evaluation via FB. It meets safety level PL e, Category 4, SIL3, and operates with a supply voltage of 48-240 VAC/DC. The relay features removable screw terminal connections and a lateral plug connector for direct connection of contact extensions without wiring.
